No AMVETS Post can exist without the help and participation of it's Auxiliary. And AMVETS Post 2 is no exception.
The Post 2 Auxiliary is comprised of mothers, wives and grandmothers, regardless of age, and the daughters, sisters and granddaughters (not less than 18 years of age) of AMVETS members. Additionally, mothers, widows and daughters, regardless of age, of deceased veterans who would have been eligible for membership in AMVETS are eligible to join the Auxiliary. To apply for membership, visit Post 2 and submit an Auxiliary application with $30 for annual membership or $275.00 for Life Membership.
Another organization in the AMVETS Post 2 Family is the SONS OF AMVETS, Squadron 2.
The Sons are exactly that! They are the Sons of AMVETS Members. You must be at least 18 years of age to belong to the Sons. To apply for membership, visit Post 2 and submit a Sons of AMVETS membership application with $35, the first year's dues, or join as a life member for $320.00.
Junior AMVETS are the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren of AMVETS, deceased members of AMVETS, members of the AMVETS Auxiliary, and servicemen or service women who died on active duty who would have been eligible for AMVETS membership, including all children that they may be legal guardian of and who are seven through seventeen years of age.
Junior AMVETS organize Youth programs, Americanism programs, Drill Teams, Service programs, and assist the AMVETS and the AMVETS Auxiliary organizations in their Service programs. Junior AMVETS are organized on the local, state and national levels.
